Shipping & pickup
This policy explains website shipping estimates, confirmed shipping charges, packaging, delivery, oversized projects, and free local pickup.
Effective August 13, 2026 · Last updated August 13, 20261. Shipping availability
ThiessFabs ships eligible custom metal projects to valid United States addresses. Some destinations, products, sizes, weights, or finishes may require special handling or may not be eligible for standard parcel shipping. We may decline or revise a fulfillment method before payment if safe, practical delivery is not available.
2. Website shipping estimates
The project builder provides a good-faith shipping range based on the entered product, size, quantity, approximate weight, protective packaging, and delivery ZIP code. It is an estimate—not a carrier quote or guaranteed charge. The exact shipping price is confirmed after ThiessFabs reviews the final design and packaging requirements and is shown before mockup approval and payment.
3. Large, heavy, or unusual projects
Projects that exceed common parcel limits display “Custom quote.” Freight, crating, multi-package shipping, oversize handling, lift-gate service, commercial delivery, or local delivery may be quoted separately. ThiessFabs will explain the available option and price before collecting payment.
4. Production and dispatch
Production time begins after mockup approval and full payment. Shipping time is separate from fabrication time. Orders are dispatched after production and final inspection. Any delivery date is an estimate; carriers control transit schedules and may experience weather, operational, holiday, or address-related delays.
5. Packaging and tracking
Shipping charges may include protective packaging appropriate for sharp edges, finished surfaces, layered signs, and custom shapes. Tracking information is provided when available. Customers are responsible for entering a complete deliverable address and monitoring carrier updates.
6. Address changes and delivery problems
Request address changes before shipment. Once a carrier accepts a package, rerouting may be unavailable or may create an additional charge. Additional charges caused by an incorrect or incomplete customer-provided address, refused delivery, or repeated failed delivery attempts may be the customer’s responsibility.
7. Loss or damage
Inspect the package promptly. Photograph the outside packaging before opening if damage is visible, then photograph the product and internal packaging. Report visible damage to ben@thiessfabs.com within 48 hours and retain all materials while we review the issue or carrier claim. Report a package marked delivered but not received as soon as possible so we can help investigate.
8. Free Brighton pickup
Pickup is free in Brighton, Colorado. We will contact you when the order is ready and provide the pickup location and available times. Please wait for a ready notification before arriving. Orders should be inspected at pickup, and a vehicle capable of safely transporting the item is the customer’s responsibility.
9. Questions
